Coiling Rope

June 29, 2012 2 Comments

So how do you go about storing rope so that it does not have all those kinks and knots in it when it comes time for its use?  So glad you asked that question, because I have a video to answer your question.

Coiling rope is a must if you want to to be able to use it as an effective tool.  If not then you will only have a wadded up mess on your hands to add to your frustration, particularly in  a stressed out survival situation.

I wish I could say more, but really it is that simple.  You can easily hang these coils in your garage, on your pack, in your pack, in your car or truck, anywhere it might be useful to utilize rope or cordage.  Also keep in mind that these videos are depicting rope so it will show up well on camera.  Please realize that you can use these same knots in paracord and other smaller cordage.

It is looking like we will be doing our next post on utilizing some of these knots to tie down a canoe, tie things to packs, and a few others so you can see them “in action”.  Until then, I hope to see you on, or off the trail!!

A rope can be a very valuable tool in case of an emergency. Its very important, that we store it properly so that it does not come out entangled, just when we need it.
